Yes. Applying to the Abia State Leadership Academy is completely free. You will never be asked to pay a fee to apply, to be shortlisted, or to be selected. If anyone requests payment in connection with your application, treat it as fraudulent and report it.
The Academy is for young people, aged 20 and below, with a proven record of leadership in school, community or faith. Applicants complete their bio-data, leadership record, guardian details and a short medical declaration as part of the application.
The programme is aimed at applicants who are 20 years old or younger. You enter your date of birth during registration, and age eligibility is assessed by the Academy administration as part of the selection process.
Yes. Your National Identity Number (NIN) and Abia State Identification Number (ABSIN) are both required to complete your application. Your NIN is used to verify your identity as part of the assessment. Make sure both are correct before you submit.
Yes. Your progress is saved as you move through each step, so you can stop and return at any time before submitting. SignIn again with the phone number and password you used when creating your account, and continue from where you left off.
On the sign-in page, use the “Forgot password?” link. You will be asked for your application number and the last four digits of your registered phone number, after which you can set a new password.
You receive an on-screen confirmation and an SMS to your registered phone number. You can also print a copy of your completed application from your dashboard. After submission, your application is reviewed and your identity is verified using your NIN.
It depends on the exercise. Editing after submission may remain open for a period and is then closed at the discretion of the Academy administration. When editing is closed, your submitted application becomes read-only, but you can still view and print it from your dashboard.
Shortlisting is carried out by the Academy administration. Keep an eye on your dashboard, the News & updates page, and SMS notifications sent to your registered phone number for announcements about your application status.

Yes. The application includes a section where you can declare any physical disability or impediment, including an option to describe it in your own words. This information helps the Academy administration make appropriate arrangements.
